REGION: Downtown

PROFILE: The local Paris brothers bring you more than a hand-crafted cup of coffee, this cafe is an invitation to share conversation and a timeless moment in the breathtaking backdrop of the one and only Union Station. Sip on a latte, while taking in the best view in Kansas City. And soon, Johnson County residents can enjoy Parisi Coffee, as they prepare to open their next location in downtown Overland Park. 


REGION: Hyde Park

PROFILE: Small-batch roasted specialty coffees, seasonal specialties, treats, breakfast and lunch. Honoring their namesake, Mother Earth Coffee is all organic and sourced directly from the farms, where only natural materials are used to grow and produce these coffee beans. Focused on quality, each drink is made with you in mind. 


REGION: River Market

PROFILE: Formerly known as Quay Coffee, donning its new name Thou Mayest – River Quay — located in the heart of the City Market, you can fuel up here for a day of shopping and eating. This coffee shop has a focus that goes above and beyond the beans as they pride themselves on excellent customer service and an atmosphere that is welcoming to all. This coffee shop is sure to make you feel right at home!

REGION: Crossroads

PROFILE: Complete with a rooftop patio and fire-pit with some of the best city views, Messenger Coffee is a tri-level museum-esque space that is buzzing from sunup to sun down, Messenger Coffee is open every day. Together with Ibis Bakery, Messenger offers more than great coffee but pastries, fresh baked bread and food are all on the menu. 


REGION: Midtown

PROFILE: They don’t call us the “Paris of the Plains” for nothin’. Clean, crisp and warm, giving you all the Paris vibes, this location can’t be beat. Their retro bar serves up some of the best and most creative coffee Kansas City has to offer. More than just espresso, Monarch gives you the ultimate coffee experience. Be sure to try one of their seasonal drinks as you cozy up in their velvet booths, adorned with vintage wallpaper, Monarch is right up there as one of the best Kansas City coffee shops.

Their menu includes drinks with and without milk, as well as food.

PROFILE: Go for the coffee…stay for the patio. Off the beaten path this quaint hot spot has everything you didn’t know you needed. Be ready to enjoy the outdoors as you sip on their signature espresso drinks.
